Renshi Syed Mohiuddin is the founder of Lion Budokan Karate International in New Zealand. He is the Chief Instructor and Joint Secretary & Examiner of Lion Budokan Karate International.

Syed started learning karate at the age of 13. He graduated Black Belt Shodan (1st Dan) in 1993. He feels honored to be graded direct by Founder and Grand Master Karate Budokan International Mr. Chew Choo Soot.

Syed started two Dojos (Clubs) as an Instructor in India the same year he graduated Black Belt. He held regular Karate classes at both Dojos till the end of 2001 before leaving the country for career development.

Education and Profession

Renshi Syed always tries to maintain great balance in sports and his professional career. He is an MBA from Unitec New Zealand and directs a Web Development and Digital Marketing company in Auckland. He believes in ‘where there is a will, there is a way’.

Syed is trained under the instruction of Mr Mohammed Bin Ahmed, Grand Master Lion Budokan Karate International. Grand Master Mohammed brings varied skills from different Martial Arts styles. In addition to Budokan Karate, he also teaches Aikido, Muay Thai, Boxing, Kick Boxing and Hapkido to his students.

Syed was graded for his Black Belt Sandan (3rd Dan) by late Grand Master Chew Choo Soot’s son Master Richard Choo.
